Premier Home Inspection Services
Residential Inspections
Buying a home is one of the biggest investments you will ever make. Before you buy, you should have a home inspection to avoid potentially costly repairs that would otherwise go undetected until they become even more costly. This is our typical home inspection that catches common defects so you understand the investment you’re making.
Radon Testing
Radon is colorless and odorless, and it is extremely carcinogenic. According to the EPA, radon is one of the leading contributors to the development of lung cancer, behind only smoking. For this reason, regular radon testing is key whether you’re a homeowner, or you’re interested in purchasing a home.
Pest (WDI) Inspections
If left unaddressed, wood-destroying insects like termites and carpenter ants can cause major structural damage. We look at the structure for conditions that could allow wood-destroying organisms to thrive.
Septic Inspections
Most septic systems should be inspected every 3 to 5 years, dependent upon use and type of system. This inspection includes checking for leaks, cracks, general wear and tear, and any damage to your tank by a certified third party inspector. Regular checkups help prevent expensive repairs later on.
Pre-Drywall Inspections
There are architectural requirements that builders must follow when constructing a new home. Some issues that could arise during a pre-dry wall inspection include improper or missing nails in joists, broken roof trusses and roof rafters, improperly installed plumbing, electrical components, or rough-in elements, and problems with windows or exterior doors.
Water Quality Testing
While public water systems must test and treat their water before distributing it, these tests only cover water that hasn't left the treatment plant. Before your water enters your home’s supply line, it travels through miles of pipes. Some of these pipes might be in poor condition or they could contain lead.
The Best Modern Report in the Industry
While Faquin Home Inspections encourages our clients to walk through the home with us, we understand that you may be too busy, and may not have time to do so.
Regardless of whether or not you attend the inspection, we will compile a comprehensive Spectora report, which includes all of the information you need to determine the condition of the home.
We will deliver the report typically within 24 hours of the conclusion of your home inspection, so that you can quickly access a full overview of our findings – and discuss them with us and your agent.
